Go Edit Photos ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have over your data when you use our website at goeditphotos.com and our photo-editing services (the "Service").

1. Information We Collect

a. Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, username, and a securely hashed password. Business clients may also provide a company name, website, address, phone number, and type of business.

b. Photos & Project Files

We collect images and related files that you upload for editing, along with your editing instructions, notes, and any reference files.

c. Payment Information

Payments are processed through GCash, bank transfer, or PayPal. We store invoice records, transaction references, and payment status on our platform. We do not store full bank account numbers, GCash PINs, or PayPal credentials on our servers.

d. Usage & Technical Data

We automatically collect IP addresses, browser type, operating system, pages visited, referral URLs, and timestamps for security, analytics, and system-performance purposes.

e. Cookies

We use essential session cookies for authentication and functional cookies for user preferences (such as theme). We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, operate, and deliver the photo-editing services you request.
• To communicate with you about projects, revisions, invoices, and support.
• To process payments and issue billing records.
• To send service-related notifications (project status, payslips for staff, schedule updates).
• To improve the platform, monitor for abuse, and maintain security.
• To comply with applicable legal obligations.

3. How We Store & Protect Your Data

Uploaded project files are stored on Cloudflare R2 object storage and are accessed via time-limited, signed URLs. All file transfers occur over encrypted HTTPS connections. Passwords are hashed using industry-standard bcrypt. Our database uses prepared statements and role-based access controls to protect against unauthorized access.

Completed project files are retained for 30 days after delivery, after which they are permanently deleted unless you have an active arrangement requiring longer retention.

4. Sharing of Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only with:

• Our editing team and staff — strictly to perform the editing work you request.
• Payment processors (GCash, banks, PayPal) — to complete transactions.
• Infrastructure providers (hosting, cloud storage, email delivery) — bound by their own privacy and security policies.
• Law-enforcement authorities — only when legally required by Philippine law or a valid court order.

5. Your Rights

You may at any time:

• Access or update your account information from your profile settings.
• Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Request deletion of your account and all associated files.
• Withdraw consent for non-essential communications (essential service emails will still be sent).

6. Ownership of Your Images

You retain full ownership and copyright to every image you upload. We do not use your images for marketing, AI training, portfolio display, or any other purpose without your explicit written permission.

7. Data Retention

• Account data: Retained for as long as your account is active. Deleted upon request.
• Project files: Deleted 30 days after project completion.
• Billing records: Retained for up to 5 years to comply with Philippine tax and accounting requirements.
• Server logs: Retained for up to 90 days for security and troubleshooting.

8. Children's Privacy

Our Service is not directed to anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If we learn that a minor has provided personal information, we will promptly delete it.

9. International Users

Our servers and operations are based in the Philippines. If you access the Service from outside the Philippines, your data will be transferred to and processed in the Philippines. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on the website. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
